Research Dissemination and Engagement programme

The Research Dissemination and Engagement Programme supports innovative initiatives that connect research with society through scientific debate, science communication, public engagement and participatory approaches. Building on research and innovation supported by the “la Caixa” Foundation, the programme promotes dialogue, knowledge exchange and meaningful engagement around frontier research and innovation.

The programme comprises two complementary initiatives: the Breakthrough Conferences, a permanent programme of international scientific conferences that combine scientific excellence, interdisciplinary dialogue and public engagement; and Beyond the Lab, which brings together three complementary strands focused on science museum exhibits, science documentaries, and citizen science and participatory research initiatives.
