PROFILE
We investigate new ways Extracellular Vesicles (EVs) regulate cell signaling, tumor progression, and treatment response. My research group started in 2016 to develop new technological platforms for clinical EV biomarker studies. A vesicle flow cytometry method for expedited EV study in non-processed biofluids has identified important EV biomarkers in pancreatic, breast, colorectal, and clear cell renal cell carcinomas. In unpublished research, we are assessing the diagnostic/prognostic value of new EV protein biomarkers linked to liver metastatic colorectal and pancreatic cancer and their stroma. We also study EVs as regulators of soluble proteins involved in oncologic and non-oncologic diseases. (Read full CV).
