DESCRIPTION
Tennis elbow (epicondylitis) is the most common example of forearm-related musculoskeletal injury. It causes pain and discomfort, and is one of the causes leading to sick leave. Patients require lengthy rehabilitation, which is often inefficient and can lead to surgery. This is because no commercial device currently exists that adequately evaluates the information on muscle condition during exercise, although doctors consider this information to be, in fact, critical for better rehabilitation.
MyoSleeve is a wearable device for rehabilitation of forearm-related disorders - a complete solution based on high-density surface electromyography, a novel and accurate technology for evaluating muscle activation during exercise. By using MyoSleeve, the therapy can be performed in the rehabilitation center, but also at the patient’s home at a time that suits him/her best and under the digital supervision of a medical expert. Injured people can recover in less time, improving their quality of life. MyoSleeve facilitates more efficient treatment and a potential rehabilitation at home that saves time and money for both the user and the clinician.
