DESCRIPTION
Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is a well-defined, very common and severe chronic mental disorder characterized by recurrent emotional crises (depression, anger, panic). Emotional crises are linked to high consumption of health and economic resources, as well as poor quality of life and clinical symptoms in patients with BPD.
To date, there is a lack of efficient and effective alternatives to psychiatric emergency services for treating these emotional crises in patients with BPD. In this context, B.RIGHT (Rapid Intervention Guidelines using Health Technology for Borderline personality) is an innovative mobile application that uses personalized and empirically validated psychological tools based on artificial intelligence algorithms to self-monitor patients with BPD "in crisis".
B.RIGHT seeks to improve the benefits of conventional psychotherapy by a) reducing the number of psychiatric emergencies and hospitalizations, b) reducing the incidence of suicidal behavior, c) improving emotional instability and d) increasing social functioning and vulnerability to stress.
