Evaluation process

Mostrar texto Ocultar texto
  • REMOTE EVALUATION PHASE

    • The proposals were evaluated by a total of 245 experts: at least three per project

    • Proposals were assigned through a process of matching between assessors and projects, taking into account the thematic area, disciplines and keywords.

    • The final score for each project has been adjusted based on two standardization coefficients related to the strictness of each evaluator and the level of coincidence in the matching process.

    • There were 10 proposals with a discrepancy of more than 2.5 points and with the possibility of passing to the interview phase, which were evaluated by a fourth evaluator. The mean score was calculated taking into account the four standardized scores.

  • INTERVIEW PHASE

The top 12-14 proposals per thematic area according to the ranking established according to the remote evaluation scores proceeded to this phase.

The interviews were evaluated by panels made up of six to eight experts selected for their excellence and area of expertise, seeking a balance between basic, clinical and translational profiles.

The process adopted was as follows:

    • Face-to-face interviews where the project will be presented followed by questions.

    • Discussion and assignment of grades by the members of the panel.

    • Individual review of grades by each evaluator and presentation of the initial ranking of projects.

    • Discussion, deliberation and, if necessary, adjustment of the grades by members of the panel.

    • Presentation of the final ranking.
