CaixaResearch Institute Fund for the Innovation Hub

A specific fund has been created to support the early-stage, market-oriented transfer and innovation activities of the CaixaResearch Institute and its partner institutions. This fund, in good complementarity with the other instruments deployed by the CaixaResearch Institute within the Innovation Hub initiative, aims to enable the Institutes and their researchers to:

• Initiate or boost projects with transfer potential.

• Valorise technology transfer as part of research valorisation activities.

• Engage in additional ‘risk-taking’ or exploratory processes to unlock innovation.

• Develop entrepreneurship based on knowledge and research results.

If you are a member of the CaixaResearch Institute or one of the partner institutions (currently: BBRC, IrsiCaixa, ISGlobal and VHIO) and you have an idea that you would like to submit you believe has potential, here are the steps to follow:

• Step 0: If you have not done so yet, reach out to your Tech Transfer Office to discuss it with them and decide together what is the most appropriate next step for your project.

• Step 1: Download and check the Guidelines for participation and FAQs of the Innovation Hub’s Fund to see if your case matches the criteria for applying.

• Step 2: Download the editable Submission template to prepare your proposal in the correct format and include all the required information.

• Step 3: Once you are ready to submit, access the online Application form to fill in the main information related to your project and upload your proposal as a unique PDF file, comprising the Project description (5 pages max.) and the relevant Complementary material (if applicable).

Current cut-off’s deadline for submission: March 20th at noon (Barcelona time)
